39 YO Cheryl L. Kinchen, a resident of Tickfaw, was sentenced this week to one year and a day after she pleaded guilty to two counts of filing false tax returns in her personal capacity by U.S. District Court Judge Greg G. Guidry, according to U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans of the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Kinchen, who is the owner/operator of Beyond Blessed Tax Services, prepared false tax returns in 2015 and 2017 for her own personal taxes, wherein she significantly underreported the gross income that she earned as a tax preparer for the alleged time periods.
In addition to incarceration, she was ordered to pay the IRS $167,496 in restitution, pay a mandatory $200 special assessment fee, and she was placed on one year of supervised release.
