
Chief Jimmy Travis reports the arrest of three individuals after an investigation concluded in Ponchatoula.
On November 18, in a joint effort between the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ponchatoula Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and Hammond Police Department, they ended an investigation of several weeks into a heroin distribution ring plaguing Ponchatoula area.
Law enforcement began the investigation following numerous complaints in the area and Tangi Crimestoppers tips.
As the investigation progressed, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for the residence located on North 11th Street in Ponchatoula. At that location law enforcement seized approximately one ounce of suspected heroin, approximately 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately an ounce of suspected marijuana, and a pistol.
The search warrant ended with the following subjects being arrested: 25 YO Javouris Dewayne Scott, 43 YO Kendrick Hudson, and 43 YO Rena Scott.
All three face an assortment of charges.
