There was a heavy law enforcement presence at the Ponchatoula – Hammond football game after a Crimestoppers tip regarding a threat of violence there.
TPSO said after investigating these allegations and conducting many interviews, detectives determined the tip was not credible. It appears the false tip was intentionally made to cause controversy and worry.
TPSO said as always, they take all tips seriously, and will continue to monitor social media and Crimestoppers for any and all developments.
