
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says a shooting in Hammond following a house party killed a 16 YO boy late Saturday night.
Authorities said the teen was in a car with several other teenagers who got into a shootout with another suspect.
The incident occurred just before midnight in the St. Paul Loop neighborhood, located directly west of Highway 443.
Deputies arrived and found the victim suffering from a single fatal gunshot wound. TPSO says over 20 shots were fired during the murder.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports that several arrests have already been made, including a 16 YO, two 17 YO’s, and an 18 YO. One suspect, 17 YO Bradney McGary of Hammond, surrendered to authorities on Sunday. Authorities said those arrested face Second Degree Murder charges.
