At a meeting at North Oaks yesterday attended by state and parish officials, leaders from Northshore Technical Community College and North Oaks Health System shared their vision for training students for successful careers in health sciences and other innovative and emergent technologies.
Through a proposed partnership, a new Hammond Area Campus for NTCC would be built on North Oaks property with the end goal of giving Tangipahoa Parish another competitive edge in educating the workforce of the future and matching jobs to the needs of the regional economy.
Several attendees of that meeting have already voiced their support for this proposal.
