As of yesterday the Slidell Police Department was investigating an incident near the boat launch on Bayou Lane.
Around 1:30pm, Slidell Police responded to the area after receiving reports of a scuffle and a possible discharge of a firearm.
Approximately six minutes after the initial call, a male victim showed up at a local hospital with a single gunshot wound.
At this time, the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The preliminary investigation suggests that there was a disagreement between two known parties, which resulted in the shooting.
The Slidell Police Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.
No arrests had been made as of late yesterday.
