Tangipahoa Parish Schools will be upgrading playgrounds at many of their locations thanks to a Federal Grant for playground equipment.
The equipment has been ordered and they hope to have it on site and installed by Christmas.
The grant will bring a total of more than a half million dollars worth of upgrades to schools like Amite Elementary, Champ Cooper, Chesbrough, Hammond Eastside and Westside, Independence, Loranger, Midway, Neson, OW Dillon, Perrin, Roseland, Spring Creek, and Woodland Park.
