
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting which occurred in the early morning hours of Labor Day, leaving one person in critical condition.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports on September 5 at approximately 12:42 AM, deputies responded to reports of shots fired on Thompson Drive in Hammond.
A suspect was identified as 31 YO Olvin Molina-Andrade, a Hispanic male.
According to the investigation, Molina-Andrade was involved in an argument with the victim, in which both subjects were reported to have been intoxicated. During the argument, the victim was shot by Molina-Andrade multiple times.
A native of Honduras, Molina-Andrade is also an illegal immigrant with several prior arrests for illegal entry into the United States.
