Yesterday Slidell Police arrested a 15 YO high school student for bringing a loaded firearm to school.
Shortly after 8:00 am, a school resource officer, assigned to Salmen High School, was alerted about a student who was observed brandishing a firearm on school grounds.
The student was quickly located, at which time, the school resource officer located a loaded 9mm pistol concealed in the teen’s waistband.
The student was placed under arrest and charged with Illegal Carrying of a Weapon on School Property.
The teen was then locked down at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
