Beginning Monday, August 22, 2022, look for Baby and Toddler, Preschool, and All Ages Storytimes, in addition look for the return of Play Date for ages 0-36 months, at your St Tammany Library.
During Storytime, kids and their parents can come to their favorite branch locations for books, rhymes, and music specifically tailored to their age group.
For Play Dates, parents and their children simply show up for interactive play in an early learning environment.
Beginning in September, special Saturday STEAM programming for kids ages 8 to 11 will begin at all large branch locations — Causeway, Covington, Madisonville, Mandeville, Slidell, and South Slidell. These programs will be registered, with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
All events are listed in the events calendar at www.sttammanylibrary.org.
This Fall Family Drop-In programs are on Thursday nights and are themed: September is music, October is Star Wars Reads, and November is Games.
Fall Storytime and Play Date events will run through November 18.
Virtual Storytime is always an option. Parents often find Virtual Storytime, featuring a St. Tammany Parish Library Children’s Services Librarian, a fun and different option for Storytime at home as an alternative to television shows or computer games, a way to wind down after a long day, or as a special part of the bedtime routine.
No registration is required for Storytime, Play Date, or Drop-In events.
Registration is required for Virtual Storytime and Saturday STEAM programs.
Parents are reminded that children ages nine and under may not be left unattended at any Library program.
