DOTD has scheduled work on the US 190 at I-12 interchange in the Covington area.
US 190 Eastbound and US 190 Westbound will be affected starting Monday, August 15, 2022 at 8:00 PM through Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00 AM. This will be a Partial Closure of both Left and Right Lanes at the US 190 at I-12 Overpass Nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. One lane will remain open at all times. There will be no other vehicle restrictions and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
Meanwhile at the same location the ramp for I-12 Westbound starting Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 8:00 PM through Friday, August 19, 2022 at 6:00 AM will be closed. This Ramp Closure will affect the US 190 West On-Ramp to I-12 WB (Hammond). Motorists traveling on US 190 West wishing to enter I-12 WB may continue on US 190, make a legal U-turn and follow signs for I-12 West (Hammond).
DOTD plans ramp closures this week on I-12 at the LA 59 interchange (Mandeville/Abita Springs exit). This will affect I-12 Eastbound and I-12 Westbound through Friday, August 19, 2022 at 6:00 AM, Weather Permitting. This Partial Closure of the Right Lane will occur nightly, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. One lane will remain open at all times. There will be no other vehicle restrictions and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter a slight delay during this time.
