DA Warren Montgomery says a Washington Parish grand jury indicted 53 YO Shannon Brady Polkey of Franklinton of 2 counts of first-degree rape victim under 13, 1 count sexual battery victim under 13, and 1 count of failure to register as a sex offender.
Polkey was convicted of forcible rape in 1987 in Washington Parish and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He did not register as a sex offender in Louisiana as required by law.
Detective Corbet Hunt with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated the case. Assistant DA Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.
