Eastbound traffic on the Twin Span Bridge heading towards Slidell yesterday morning was impacted after a deadly two-vehicle crash.
NOPD and DOTD said the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m.
Police say a woman’s vehicle was disabled in one of the lanes when a second driver struck her.
The woman was transported to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The second driver, an unidentified man, was hospitalized and listed in critical condition.
Lane closures forced drivers to take alternate routes until they reopened just after 6 a.m.
