The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash which occurred Saturday (July 30) evening near Covington.
Shortly before 6:45 PM, a 27 YO Covington woman left a social gathering in the 1500 block of Tchefuncte Drive near Covington on a 2007 Honda CRF-70F motorcycle.
For unknown reasons, she left the roadway and crashed into a tree, less than a quarter of a mile down the road from the gathering.
She was transported to a local area hospital where she died from her injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
