St Tammany Parish Government says the $1.5 million project to provide road and drainage improvements to River Road from LA 437 to LA 25 in Covington is underway.
Parish President Mike Cooper says, once completed, the intersection at River Road and LA 437 in Covington will be easier and safer to navigate.
Enhancements will include: 3.5 miles of road rehabilitation, re-alignment of River Road & LA 437 intersection, drainage and guardrail upgrades, and efficiency and safety improvements at intersections.
Completion expected Summer 2023, weather permitting.
Temporary closures can be expected throughout the project.
