Post 16’s 2nd Annual Great American Legion Banana Split Celebration will be held Saturday, August 20 in its Legion Hall from 1 until 3 pm and 5 until 8 pm.
Hoodoo Ice Cream and Louisiana Fresh are donating the ingredients and presently Heritage Bank and Citizen’s Bank and Trust are sponsoring the event.
Northshore Food Bank will receive the proceeds from the event.
In addition, attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of food to the event.
This year’s event will feature a display of the history of the banana split, door prizes, entertainment and more.
