Mike Cooper with St Tammany Parish Government says COVID-19 is once again impacting our communities.
He said many of our neighbors and loved ones are being infected, and hospitals are experiencing more patients suffering from COVID-19. He said we are all exhausted and frustrated, but the virus remains active.
Cooper said please talk to your medical professional and consider all steps to protect yourself, your family and your co-workers.
St. Tammany’s COVID-19 Community Level is currently ranked as High. The recommended actions based on our current level is to wear a mask indoors in public and on public transportation. Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines. And get tested if you have symptoms. Also, if you are at high risk for severe illness, consider taking additional precautions.
