
40 YO Levan Harris, a man accused touching a student inappropriately at a local school, is no longer an employee of the Tangipahoa Parish School System.
School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said Tuesday that the man, who was previously assigned to the Ponchatoula High School campus, is no longer an employee of the school system.
Stilley said the district puts the health and safety of students first and foremost. Stilley added that these were very serious allegations, and as such, they have taken swift action to review this case and are also cooperating fully in the police investigation.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday the suspect, identified as a custodian at Ponchatoula High School at the time of the incident, was arrested on one count of sexual battery.
