A St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputy suffering from complications after a shooting back in May has been released from the hospital.
Kenneth Doby was shot by a 13 YO while he was patrolling on Highway 21 and Highway 1083 in Waldheim when a business burglary was reported.
Even after he was wounded, Deputy Doby helped subdue the suspect.
At that time Doby’s wounds were described as non-life threatening. Last week, Doby suffered complications and was taken back to the hospital.
Sheriff Randy Smith said Doby was released yesterday but has a long road ahead of him.
