Utility work in the area of the new North Hoover Road/Sisters Road expansion will require a power disruption Wednesday, June 29, as crews move the utility lines in that area.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said he has been in contact with the local power provider, Entergy, who indicated they have notified customers of the planned outage. Miller said the company indicated customers can expect to be without power much of the day.
Work will begin as early as 6 a.m., and the outage could last as long as eight hours, depending on conditions.
Miller said residents can register for updates from Entergy by logging into their account at https://www.myentergy.com or utilizing the Entergy app which is available for your smart phone or tablet. Users can opt in for text alerts and email updates about service interruptions, general outage information, or even to report a streetlight that is not working.
