St Tammany Parish Government says they took a hard look at their ordinances and determined that E-Bikes are welcome on the Tammany Trace.
They said come enjoy 31 miles of paved bike paths stretching from the beautiful City of Slidell to historic Downtown Covington.
Closures remain at I-12 in Mandeville and Bayou Lacombe Bridge in Lacombe for infrastructure improvements. Pedestrians and slower Trace users should stay on the right side. The speed limit is 15 m.p.h.
