Northshore Humane Society says over 30 dogs left their shelter yesterday and will now be spending the week out of the dangerous heat and in the safety of a foster home.
They thanked the community and said there are still ways people can help.
They will be back at the emergency fostering today starting at 8 AM.
If you are able to open your home to one of their homeless dogs temporarily for the week, it would be greatly appreciated. They ask that you simply stop by any time 8 AM – 5 PM to browse the available dogs they have on-site and take one home that day.
Shelter staff and volunteers will also be on-site ready to help you find your family the perfect canine. If you do have other pups in the home, they are always welcome to come along for meet and greets.
All supplies including food, toys, kennels, etc. will be provided by the rescue so it’s at no cost to you.
