On May 12 at 9:30 pm, the Amite City Police Department began an investigation into a Hit and Run that occurred at 1100 W. Oak St in Amite at the Exxon on the Run.
The suspect driver, a black male with red dreads, was driving a white newer model 4 door GMC. The GMC truck struck another vehicle in front of Exxon on W. Oak St then fled the scene.
