The St. Tammany, Livingston and Tangipahoa Chambers of Commerce will host a candidate Leadership Bootcamp on Friday, June 17, from 9 AM till 3:30 PM at Keith Youngs Steakhouse in Madisonville.
Underwritten by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co., the bootcamp will cover the basics of running a political campaign, the qualifying process, campaign finance rules and regulations, and fundraising tips.
The fall of 2023 state-wide, legislative, and parish elections will soon be here. Candidates’ names are beginning to come up in conversations while others are being encouraged to run for office.
The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) first sponsored bootcamps for the 2019 elections at locations around the state. St. Tammany had over 40 candidates participate in that training.
