St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Chuck Preston has positively identified the man found dead of apparent gunshot wounds in the Abita Nursery Subdivision.
Deputies were sent to the area following reports of gunshots and found the body at approximately 2:45 p.m.
He was identified as 25 YO Kawon Moore of Covington.
Moore was apparently shot multiple times, but an autopsy was set to be conducted to confirm cause and manner of death.
The Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
