Local elected officials joined Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and Tangipahoa Tourism yesterday morning as they kicked off National Tourism and Travel Week in Tangipahoa.
Nungesser said Tangipahoa Parish was number 12 out of 64 parishes for top tourism expenditures.
Over 29,600 room nights were generated and $125,000,000 was spent by visitors in 2020.
$4,800,000 in local sales taxes were paid by out-of-town visitors in 2020.
