The Talented Theater students at Sumner High School got a $10,000 grant check from an out of parish anonymous source to help fund their nationally award-winning movie project.
Talented Theatre teacher Charley Vance said she did not know if they could have continued with their movie project without the check.
For 23 years the students have created movies that explore social issues through drama or comedy. The grant funds allow the project to hire Vivid Video to video, do light, sound and edit the movies. Also, grant funds are used to pay professional actors to play adult roles. The funds are also used to hire local musicians to create original music for each movie.
