The Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association has launched an Accounting and Financial Services Professional Network.
The community network is available in the Southeastern Connect platform.
Executive Director of Alumni Relations Michelle Biggs said the network aims to spark crucial connections and cutting-edge conversations within the accounting, banking and financial services industries. The network offers a unique opportunity, she explained, for alumni, faculty and students to connect with like-minded professionals, to inspire and learn from each other as they engage within the university.
Biggs said the Alumni Association and the Accounting and Financial Services Professional Network are hosting their first lecture event on Thursday, April 28. Southeastern Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance Louis Le Guyader will present “Cryptocurrency: Clever or Criminal?” at 6 p.m. in the Cate Teacher Education Center Lecture Hall, room 1022.
The lecture will be preceded by an hour of social networking beginning at 5 p.m.
Individual entrance fee is $10; however, Southeastern students, faculty and staff get in free with their university ID.
Registration is available through the Southeastern Connect platform at www.southeasternconnect.org/events.
