
The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, the largest free festival in the state, is celebrating fifty years this weekend in downtown Ponchatoula.
The festival opens Friday April 8th at noon with rides, food, games and more. Music starts Friday at 5.
On Saturday the festival opens at 9 with the parade downtown at 9:30. The Strawberry Eating Contest is at 1:45 and there is music on both stages all day long.
Church services are held at 9 on Sunday and the festival opens at 10.
