Nunez Community College’s MJ Foster Promise Presentation has been rescheduled for April 7.
The event was postponed in the wake of the tornado that struck Arabi near the Nunez campus on March 22. After tending to Nunez students affected by the tragic storm, the college is once again ready to invite the public to learn about this innovative new program.
Nunez will host an Academic and Career-Technical Program Preview Night and Foster Promise Presentation on Thursday, April 7, from 5-7 p.m. in the Kane Technology Building on the Nunez campus. The presentation will serve as the public’s first opportunity to ask questions about the state’s new $10.5 million annual “last dollar” award fund, which is available to Louisianans over the age of 21 who meet broad eligibility requirements.
After students complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and MJ Foster Promise applications, whatever tuition and fees aren’t covered by financial aid will be covered by the Foster Promise Program.
