Northshore Public Schools are watching the approaching weather.
Tangipahoa Parish Public Schools says they will continue to monitor the weather and make decisions that are best for students, families, and employees. As of last night, the timing of the severe weather was predicted to impact the area after 3:00 PM. After-school events are canceled. Please stay alert and connected to this radio station, the website, social media, and school messenger announcements in the event that they need to dismiss school early to avoid the line of storms. (When they say early, they mean a possible 1:00 or 2:00 dismissal.) They will send out updates by 10:30 this morning regarding any early dismissal if needed. The schools system says as always, please be prepared for the storms and make the best decisions regarding the safety of your family.
St Tammany Public Schools say they are closely monitoring the weather for Wednesday, March 30. All afterschool activities, including sports, clubs, and events, have been canceled. They plan for school to take place in person following normal schedules. Aftercare will follow the normal schedules. Please contact your child’s school, or visit www.stpsb.org, for the most up to date information.
