St Tammany Parish Government says their Public Works crews delivered approximately 500 Christmas trees, which were donated for recycling by citizens, to Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.
The trees will be strategically placed in the area by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for marsh restoration and coastal protection.
They offered a thank you to all citizens who donated their trees at the Parish Fairgrounds to help protect our coastline.
