Yesterday St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman David Boudreaux announced the decision to relocate the Chamber’s office in Olde Towne Slidell to the Towers Building at 520 Old Spanish Trail in Slidell.
The move is expected to take place in June.
He said the Towers Building, with its access to government officials, large meeting rooms, and ample parking, will enable them to better serve Chamber members.
The parishwide St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce was established in November 2019 following the dissolution of the East St. Tammany Chamber in September 2019.
While the Chamber’s wholly owned Covington building provided sufficient office space, the importance of maintaining an office in Slidell led to the establishment in May 2020 of the Olde Towne office with the signing of a two-year lease at 2220 Carey Street.
