Over the weekend Slidell Police responded to the Stone Creek Apartments in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.
Detectives identified 43 YO Calvin Brown III of Slidell as the suspect, and arrested him.
Brown is facing one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be filed at a later date.
The motive of the shooting is presumably domestic related.
