NAMI St Tammany is offering some Mental Health First Aid Classes soon.
Mental Health First Aiders are teachers, employees, first responders, coaches, youth group leaders, neighbors, and friends who want to make their community healthier, happier, and safer for all.
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based course that provides the skills to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders.
Now it’s your turn to join hundreds of St. Tammany Parish residents who have taken the course and learned how to help save a life.
This class is for anyone who works primarily with adults.
It will be Saturday, March 5th – 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
There is an online component with 2 hours of self-paced pre-work required.
The deadline to register is Wednesday, February 23rd.
