
A Ponchatoula man accused of murdering two men last month in a Metairie home has been arrested, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.
27 YO Cody Labranche was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on two counts of first-degree murder.
Labranche is accused of fatally shooting 38 YO Jonathan Pizzuto and 36 YO Williams Mitchell as they played video games around 9 p.m. on Jan. 17 inside a home on Rosa Avenue.
Investigators have not disclosed how Labranche knew the victims or how he was developed as the suspect in the killings.
Records show Labranche was arrested last July 4 in Florida on allegations of battery, criminal damage to property and resisting an officer.
