The Junior League of Greater Covington is excited to announce its annual Project Prom event to be held Saturday, February 12 at the Junior League Headquarters at 529 North Columbia Street in Covington.
Project Prom will make the dream of attending prom a reality for local students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to buy a dress.
The event is open to all female students, at no cost, and allows each attendee to select one prom dress, pair of shoes and an accessory free of charge.
All COVID precautions will be strictly enforced; therefore, pre-registration is required this year.
No proof of income is required.
In addition, this year Golden Lily will be the official jewelry sponsor, generously providing a piece of brand new prom jewelry to all attendees.
The Junior League headquarters, known as Dogwood Cottage, will be transformed into a boutique complete with dressing rooms, dresses, shoes and accessories. Several hundred dresses are usually available, ranging from size 0-20.
All donations are from individuals or local bridal boutiques and thoroughly screened by Junior League members prior to being put on the floor.
