
United Way SELA says an LA Early Ed Month Panel to highlight the state’s child care crisis will be held Thursday, February 3, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

The first Louisiana Early Ed Month will be held throughout February with a program of events aimed at highlighting the critical need for increased access to and investment in high-quality early care and education for our state’s youngest children, birth to age four.
Advocates across Southeast Louisiana will join together on Thursday, Feb. 3, to host a virtual LA Early Ed Month Panel for area legislators and business executives featuring an opening address from Governor John Bel Edwards.
Panelists include: Charmaine Caccioppi, Executive Vice President & COO, United Way of Southeast Louisiana; Dionne Cousin-Graham, Executive Director, East St. Tammany Rainbow Child Care Center, Inc.; Rebecca Holmes, Attorney, United for Early Childhood Education Initiative; Patty Riddlebarger, Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility, Entergy Corporation; and Libbie Sonnier, Executive Director, Louisiana Policy Institute for Children.
