Following a meeting of the New Orleans Mayor’s Mardi Gras advisory committee, it was announced that all Krewe members must be vaccinated or test negative 72 before a parade rolls to participate in Mardi Gras 2022.
The same policy will be applied to any other members participating in a parade this year, including marching bands, dance troupes, and other entertainment.
Under the policy krewe captains must certify that their riders are vaccinated by February 11th, or those riders must test negative three days before the parade is scheduled to ride.
New Orleans remains under a vaccine-proof mandate and has continued the mask mandate as the city approaches the first Carnival season in two years.
