On Wednesday, January 12, at approximately 8:00pm, the Tickfaw Police Department responded to a residence on Highway 442 East where the victim, 37 YO Tiffany Schultz of Hammond, was found deceased.
The Tickfaw PD determined it was a homicide and began investigating with the assistance of the Hammond Police Department and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Through the investigation, detectives determined the victim had been shot and killed by 28 YO Tyrail Tate of Kentwood.
An arrest warrant for second degree murder was issued, and Tate was arrested on Sunday night, January 16, by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Tickfaw PD, Hammond PD and TPSO.
