
Slidell Police Chief Randy Fandal has released the Slidell Police Department’s 2021 Uniform Crime Reports and has also included the crimes statistics from the past nine years.
From last year, overall crime was down -22.5%, with theft showing the most significant decrease.
Overall violent crime was down -14.1% and overall property crime is down -23.3%.
Since being elected police chief at the end of 2016, Chief Randy Fandal has taken a tough stance on crime by sending a clear message to criminals.
Chief Fandal said as much as he would like to take credit for the reduction in crime, it was the dedicated men and women of the police department who accomplished it.
