On Wednesday at a ceremony held at UL-Lafayette, longtime former Tangipahoa Parish Fire District #1 Chief Bruce Cutrer was posthumously honored as one of the newest members of Louisiana’s Fire Chiefs Hall of Fame.
Louisiana State Fire Marshal Butch Browning presented the ceremonial plaque to Mary Cutrer, the chief’s widow, during the event.
Amite Fire, the Tangipahoa Parish Fire District 1 and Rural Fire District 2 departments, as well as friends and well-wishers were on hand recognizing the late chief, who spent his life serving the citizens of Tangipahoa Parish.
