39 YO Jacorey Clark from Slidell has been identified as the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center Inmate who died shortly before 3:00 am yesterday.
The inmate was transported to a local area hospital, after suffering from an unknown medical condition.
The inmate was pronounced deceased after being treated at the local area hospital.
At approximately 2:40 am, Deputies were notified that an inmate was in need of medical attention. Deputies and medical staff responded to the dorm where the male inmate was located.
Acadian ambulance responded and transported the male inmate to the local area hospital where medical personnel continued to provide medical treatment.
The male was pronounced deceased shortly before 4:00 am by the hospital staff.
The investigation is still on going and an autopsy will be conducted by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office.
