With an impact of over $800 million in 2020, Louisiana’s Motion Picture Industry is alive and thriving.
The industry provides a broad spectrum of career opportunities plus support of local businesses and services. Generating awareness of the widespread impact is critical toward the continued tax incentives that entice new productions and keep the state’s film industry rolling.
To that end, the Northshore Collaborative business network will present “The Business of Film” luncheon featuring Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser on Friday, January 7, and the Northshore Cultural Economy Coalition and the City of Slidell will present “Art of the Film: Louisiana Film Industry Expo” on Saturday, January 8.
Collectively, the events have been created to showcase creative career opportunities, to educate the public as to the array of opportunities and to illustrate the broad scope of impact in both expected and unexpected ways.
In addition to live presentations, recorded sessions will be available for those who are unable to attend the event in person.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to make this event possible.
The luncheon is $35 for members, $40 for nonmembers.
Get tickets at www.nscollaborative.com.
The Expo at Slidell’s Municipal Auditorium is free and open to the public.
