Downtown Covington fixture and businessman Tim Lantrip was tragically injured on Monday, October 18 as he walked across Boston Street from The Tea Room to his home at St Tammany Art Association.
He was stuck by a pickup truck and suffered severe head injuries.
Visitors report that Tim is doing better. He’s alert, talking, and even calling his friends on his cell phone. He is eating and drinking on his own, without need for an IV or a feeding tube.
His wife, Jan, has decided, after talking to his medical team, that he will stay at PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital in Covington. He has begun intensive therapy at the hospital.
It’s hard work in physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. In fact, he’s very tired after his daily therapy. Jan suggests that visitors should wait until 3 or later in the afternoon for visits.
She adds that your prayers are making a difference as Tim progresses in his recovery.
