The ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) has selected the Ponchatoula Police Department to receive the Pro Patria Award representing all the public sector employers in Louisiana.
This award is presented annually by each ESGR State Committee to one small, one large, and one public sector employer in their state or territory.
Recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve.
This award will be presented to Chief Layrisson and the Ponchatoula Police Department on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 10:00 am. It will take place at the police department located at 195 N. 6th Street in Ponchatoula.
Chief Layrisson invites the public to attend this ceremony to show their support for the police department and the men and women serving our country.
