Northshore Humane Society is calling on the community to open their homes and hearts to temporarily foster one of their homeless pets during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Through their “Barks-giving” Foster Program, families will be able to take a dog or cat home temporarily for the Thanksgiving holiday, giving them much-needed relief from the shelter and providing them with a warm and safe place while the shelter is closed.
The program is also a great trial opportunity for families who may be interested in adopting.
All supplies including kennels, food, toys, etc. can be provided by the shelter so it’s at no cost to the family.
For families who are interested, Northshore Humane Society asks that you simply show up on the pick-up day of your choice ready to browse available animals and to take one home that day. Pick-up dates and times are Tuesday, November 23rd and Wednesday, November 24th 10 AM – 4 PM. Shelter staff and volunteers will be on-site both days ready to find your family the perfect Thanksgiving guest.
Families can return their foster pet (unless they decide to adopt) on Saturday, November 27th or Monday, November 29th.
