Intralox is expanding operations at its Hammond for the third time in four years.
This time, the company is more than doubling its footprint with a $60 million expansion that will create 425 direct jobs as Intralox expands its molding and assembly operations.
The expansion, set to be complete by the end of 2022, will bring the Hammond plant’s total footprint to over 400,000 sq ft while increasing belting output by 50%.
The Hammond facility produces modular plastic conveyor belts which are used in food, industrial, and e-commerce industries. Belts and components produced at the state-of-the-art facility are shipped to Intralox assembly facilities across the world.
This major U.S. expansion comes as Intralox celebrates its 50th year in operation. Founded in 1971, Intralox is globally headquartered in Harahan Louisiana, with locations in North America, Amsterdam, China, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, Japan, and India. Intralox employs over 3,000 team members around the world and is trusted by 60,000 customers in over 100 countries.
