Yesterday Slidell Police said the area surrounding Fifth Street and Teddy Avenue was briefly shut down after an unidentified person barricaded themselves in a home.
Police say the suspect was eventually taken into custody and deemed the area safe.
Slidell Police said there would be a heavy police presence in the area for some time following the incident.
