At the St Tammany Parish Library Food for Fines will run through October 30th.
St. Tammany library patrons have two more weeks to settle their outstanding fines and fees and help local food pantries, with a donation of non-perishable food items.
Each non-perishable food item is equal to one dollar in fines or fees.
The beneficiaries of the Food for Fines food drive are the First Baptist Church of Slidell Food Pantry, the Northshore Food Bank, and the Samaritan Center.
Food for Fines is accepted at all 12 branch locations of the St. Tammany Parish Library through October 30th.
